Jennings Kelley, with assistance from Walker Valley Key Club and Bradley County 4-H, has conducted and completed a Youth Opportunities Fund project known as Bibs 4 Babes.

The project was funded through a $200 grant by the YOF (an endowed fund for Key Club International) this year. Bibs 4 Babes was created as an organization that produces homemade baby supplies, such as bibs, nursing covers, and burp cloths, to be donated to the local New Hope Pregnancy Care Center as a product sold in their Hope Chest.

The Hope Chest gives new and expecting mothers a chance to get supplies and needs through a series of classes at the Center.

Kelley expects to continue Bibs 4 Babes and is planning on extending the organization for the future to reach and influence centers outside of Bradley County. The total amount of products made and donated thus far includes: 17 burp cloths, three nursing covers, and 58 bibs, ranging in size and style.

To find out how you can help New Hope or if you have any questions regarding the center, contact Judy Gault, client services coordinator, at 423-479-6683.
