Eric Watson fireworks display
Submitted photos
IN SPITE OF A GLOOMY night dampened by periods of heavy rainfall, one of the community’s two Fourth of July fireworks shows was still held. Thousands turned out for the food, singing and sky displays at the Howard Thompson 64 Flea Market Fireworks Show sponsored by state Rep. Eric Watson. The Mount Olive Ministries fireworks show, scheduled for the Bradley Square Mall, was postponed. It will be held at a later date in connection with another event. Announcements will be made later. The holiday’s wet weather forced the cancellation of several events, but those scheduled for the indoors were a “go” and were well-attended.
