Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the incident in which there were no injuries.
According to reports, a Chevy Tahoe traveled into the median at approximately 3:05 p.m.
“Preliminary information indicates the vehicle traveled into the median,” THP Public Information Officer Dalya Qualls said.
Stan Clark, Bradley County Emergency Medical Services’ public information officer, reiterated the dangers of driving across flooded roads.
“Don’t drive across flooded areas. If you do get stalled in a flooded area, do not get out of the car,” Clark said. “Instead, call 911 for help. When the car door is opened, water will come in and can sweep people away. The key is to not get out of the car.”
