Gladys Springfield, 87, of Ooltewah, passed away Thursday July 11, 2013.

She was married to the late Paul J. Henry Sr. for 25 years, and the late Fred Springfield for 25 years.

She was a restaurant owner for more than 17 years and was a charter member of Meadowview Baptist Church.

She is the daughter of the late J.W. Sr. and Ethel Holmes of the Harrison area.

Survivors include a son, Paul J. Henry Jr. and wife, Micki, of Mound, Texas; daughter: Diane Long and husband, Garland, of Jefferson City; sister, Opal Ford of Harrison; brother, J.W. Holmes Jr. of Hixson; grandchildren: Richard Henry of Fort Bragg, N.C., Daniel Henry of Springdale Ark., Michael Henry of Cleveland, Marjorie Guerra of Carthage, Garland Long III of Greenville, and David Long of Jefferson City; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, July 14, 2013, at Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Miller and Dr. Bill Mason officiating.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers with the Gleaners Sunday school class serving as honorary pallbearers.

Burial will follow in the old McDonald Cemetery.
