Army National Guard Pvt. Joshua C. Griffith has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During nine weeks of training, he studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

Griffith is the son of Loretta and Charles Griffith of Cleveland. He is a 2005 graduate of Olive Tree Christian Academy, Mount Washington, Ky.
