Donna Lynn Maddux, 48, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday night, Aug. 8, 2013 at the home of her sister in Decatur.
She was born in Cleveland on July 2nd, 1965 a daughter of the late Norman Everett Henson.
She was of the Christian faith. She was a 1983 graduate of Charleston High School. She worked for many years with the Bradley County School System. Her most enduring quality, however, was being a loving wife and mother.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one sister Sheila Kendrick and one brother Arnold Henson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of almost 23 years Lebron Maddux; one son, Nicholas Maddux; mother, Margaret Kendrick Henson; one sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Jerry Millsaps of Decatur; father and mother-in-law, Lynn and Dianna Maddux; special aunts, Janice Kendrick, Linda Murphy and Colleen Carroll and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for today, Aug. 11, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the Kinser Church of God located at 141 Kinser Road SE in Cleveland with the Rev. Guinn E. Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery with Manuel Maddux, Nathan Godfrey, Taylor Lambert, Patrick Eberle, Alan Buchanan and Haley Wilson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon at the church from 2 - 4 p.m. service time.
