Wyleen Jolley Corbett, 94, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013.
She was the widow of Warren Paris Corbett Sr.
She was born May 12, 1919, in Anderson, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Elmo and Mary Berry Cobb Jolley
She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was a former teacher at Bradley Central High School.
She is survived by a son, Warren P. Corbett Jr., of Bethesda, Md.; daughter, Cynthia Corbett Beacham and her husband, David M., of Spartanburg, S.C.; three granddaughters: Anne C. Corbett-Horrocks M.D., and Samantha Corbett-Horrocks, both of Rochester, N.Y., and Megan M. Corbett of New York City, N.Y.; and one great-granddaughter, Kestrel M. Corbett-Horrocks of Rochester, N.Y.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James F. Corbett; brother, Thomas E. Jolley Jr.; and two sisters: Sara Cobb Jolley and Virginia Jolley Kraft.
The funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. at Morningside Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church sanctuary.
The family will also receive friends Monday, from 3 to 3:45 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Funeral Home in Tifton, Ga.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton, Ga.
