James Don McNabb, 76, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at his daughter’s residence.

He was a self-employed painter for 30 years. He was a member of Mountain View Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beaver McNabb and Minnie Moses Richardson; wife, Beulah McNabb; stepson, Johnny Moore; stepdaughter, Ann Moore; brothers: H.L. McNabb, Thomas McNabb and Joe McNabb; and sisters: Martha Jones, Willie Marshall and Katherine McNabb.

Survivors include his children: Sandy LaGrange and husband, Robert, of Brooksville, Fla., Joyce Caskins of Decatur, Teresa Dodson and husband, Greg, of Cleveland and Michael McNabb of Houston; siblings: Doris Hawkins, Wanda Roper and Ross McNabb, all of Cleveland, Sue Childs of Georgetown and Dibble McNabb of Benton; five grandchildren: Jennifer Cornutt of Dalton, Chris Adams of Cleveland, Brandon Triplett of Hampton, Va. and Mike McNabb and Morgan McNabb, both of Houston; and five great-grandchildren: Haley, Brayden, Serenah, Makayla and Dominic.

Funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor David Dodson officiating.

Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Tony McNabb, Chris Adams, Brad Cornutt, Willie Moore, Greg Dodson and James Dodson serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.

His family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today and on Monday from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
