Don Barlow, 76, a resident of McDonald, passed away early Tuesday morning, Aug. 20, 2013, in a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was the son of the late Ruth Tratchel Barlow and Otto Barlow.

He was a big Western and cowboy fan and was an avid John Wayne fan. He loved Country and Western music and he enjoyed wearing cowboy attire. He was known for his sense of humor and he loved riding around in a car.

He attended Grace is Our Victory Church and the Cowboy Church here in Cleveland.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Holsomback of McDonald; niece, Jennifer Welchel and her husband, Todd, of McDonald; nephews: Kenneth Wolf of Laredo, Texas, and Mitchell Cox of Chattanooga; great-nieces: Jennifer True and Hannah Cox; and his great-nephews: Tanner and Trent Welchel, Eric Wolf and A.J. Cox.

The Remembrance of Life service will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Rita Taggett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery in McDonald with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
