Change has come to Curves of Cleveland. The business is now under new ownership.

Joshua Michalski and Erika Johnson have officially taken possession of the club.

"I’m so excited to become part of the Cleveland Curves community,” said Michalski. "I’m looking forward to helping the women in our community reach amazing results, both physical and emotional, through our Curves Complete fitness program and community of support. With change comes progress!"

The introduction of the new weight management program, Curves Complete, featuring exercise, meal plans and coaching, was introduced this week. Another new change is the availability of an individualized digital fitness program called CurvesSmart, which has been touted as “the highest level of personalized coaching in Curves history.”

Joshua Mchalski, his wife, Brianne, and her parents, Dr. Brian Johnson (SkyRidge and Erlanger) and his wife, Erika, own and operate Curves at Gunbarrel in Chattanooga and are delighted to expand their fitness and wellness programs in the Cleveland/Bradley County community with the Cleveland Curves location.

With the average person gaining 3 pounds a year, a reasonable workout regimen that can fit into today’s busy lifestyle of work and family is critical to help combat diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension, heart disease and other health risks women can face.

Curves’ exercise program consists of 30 minutes of exercise three times a week, during which participants work all major muscle groups and receive a complete cardio workout. It includes all five components of a complete exercise program: warm-up, strength training, cardio, cool down and stretching.

In addition to a proven workout plan, Curves of Cleveland offers various programs to help motivate and assist women in obtaining a healthy lifestyle, including the CurvesSmart™ personal coaching system, a new technology pioneered by Curves that offers a precision designed workout, moment-to-moment feedback and progress reports to keep members motivated while they work out; and www.CurvesComplete.com, an online weight-loss subscription service that provides subscribers with diet and fitness information, tools, experts and motivation to achieve their weight-loss goals.
