The Taylors Family and Community Education Club met on Aug. 6 at the Taylors Ruritan Club.

The noon meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, led by Oleta Ownby.

Pauline Cartwright called the roll which was answered by “A favorite vacation location especially enjoyed.”

Brenda Carder gave the treasurer’s report and asked members to pay dues by check. She explained this would be helpful in assuring all members get credit for paying their dues.

Members also discussed decorating for Fall Rally as Taylors FCE is responsible for decorating, serving and cleanup.

Plans for the Christmas Cottage were discussed. Taylors will do the salad, and arrangements were made for members to get the ingredients for the salad and salad dressings.

A covered-dish lunch was enjoyed by all.

Others present were Swanola McKeehan, Mary Bagley, Mary Ann Cornelius, Vergie Toomey, Sherrie Duvall, Linda Brown, Doreen Johnson, Judy Bowlin, June Parks and Loretta Walker.
