A native of Bradley County, she lived in Red Bank for a majority of her life, and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a caring and loving person who never met a stranger and will be terribly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Brown.
She is survived by her partner, David Franklin Yates of Red Bank; daughters: Kelsey Marie Brown Yates of Red Bank and Courteny Renee’ Henson of Memphis; mother, Linda Gail Watson and husband, Wayne “W.L.” Watson of Etowah; sisters: Tiresa Carlisle and husband, Stephen, of Greenville, S.C. and Angel Brown of Cleveland; stepbrother, Jason Watson of Athens; and stepsister, Juanita Watson of Athens; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
The funeral was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah with the Rev. Randall VanHoose officiating. Interment will be private.
