The Cleveland Middle School sixth-grade football team recently defeated Signal Mountain 14-0 in local gridiron action.

The Raiders offense was led by a touchdown pass to Jyren Hammonds from Robert Flowers and a 70-yard touchdown run by Antonnio Whaley.

CMS was led on defense by Johnny Gregg with a dozen tackles. Parker Chastain, Clark Lockerby, Austin Allen, and Dhrann Thomas all contributed several tackles as well. Flowers highlighted the defensive shutout of the Eagles with a big interception.

The sixth-grade Raiders are now 2-0 and play again today at Lake Forest. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.
