Laura Ann Benson and Timothy Louis George, both of Cleveland, were united in marriage in an afternoon ceremony on Aug. 3, 2013, at Oakwood Community Church in Chattanooga.

The bride is the daughter of Marty and Tina Benson of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Jane Benson of Cleveland, Joyce Atkinson of Cleveland and the late Tunnie Atkinson.

The bridegroom is the son of Adrian and Brian Moran of Crosby, Minn., and Chris and Christy George of Manhattan, Kan. He is the grandson of Lynn and Ted Drown of Ozawkie, Kan., the late Bonnie and Luke George, Paula and Tom Moran of Blue Springs, Mo., and the late Shirley and Roger Schultz.

The wedding was officiated by Pastor John A. Stone of Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy. Nuptial music was provided by Emily Tolbert and the bride’s sister, Katie Benson of Cleveland.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Katie, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Benson, Rebecca Garrett and Lea George, all of Cleveland.

Children in the wedding party were junior bridesmaid and groomsman, Briana Moran and B.J. Moran, both of Crosby; flower girls, Kara Johnson of Rossville, Ga., and Brandi Moran of Crosby; and ring bearer, Andrew Johnson of Cleveland.

Best man to the bridegroom was his brother, Nick Nevil of Crosby. Groomsmen included Taylor Kuhn and Ryan Kuhn, both of Manhattan, and Brandon Benson of Cleveland.

The reception was given at the church by the parents of the bride. Andrew Atkinson and Brandon Benson were masters of ceremonies. Lawanna Hughes was wedding coordinator. Chelsea Benson kept the bride’s book and Gracen Johnson was program attendant.

After a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the newlywed couple is at home in Cleveland.
