The library has a new website. Check us out at clevelandlibrary.org and see the new look.

It has been made easier for our patrons to get around and see Library News, Upcoming Events and access the online catalog, all on the home page.

There are Quick Links, also, to access your account where you can renew your books, check the status of books you have on hold, find out due dates of items you have checked out and even see if you have any late charges.

The library will be offering a seminar, Estate Planning, on Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Kelly Browand from Edward Jones will discuss topics on planning wills, benefits of trusts in estate planning, how to reduce taxes on your estate and how insurance can help protect your family. A local attorney will also be available to answer your questions. To register for this event, call the Non-Fiction Desk at 472-2163.

The Friends of the Library Association will host its Book and Coffee Series Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Craigmiles-Johnston House History Branch Library. Rich Jordan will review Steve Jobs’ biography by author Walter Isaacson. Join us for this hour-long review where you can find out if this is a book you want to read. FOLA will provide the coffee.

There is still room for two computer classes offered this week. On Sept. 16 and 17, Beginning Internet will be taught, and on Sept. 18 and 19, Microsoft’s PowerPoint. Both classes are from 10 a.m. to noon. Call the Non-Fiction Desk to reserve your spot today. All classes are free to those with a valid library card.

There will be library tour on Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. beginning in the lobby.  This is a way to see the behind-the-scene action at the library. The tour lasts about 45 minutes and no reservations are required.
