Jack E. Ensley, 82, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a proud lifetime member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 43. He honorably served his country in the U.S Navy aboard the USS Missouri during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by parents, Sidney and Janie Ensley; sisters: Beulah Waters, Hazel Ensley, Bonnie Robertson and Frances Ensley; and brothers: O.W. “Shorty,” Winfred, Edward and Bert Ensley.
He is survived by his wife, Reba, of 59 years; daughter, Renee McKinney and her husband, Bill; grandchildren: Todd Isbel, Shelly and David Jenkins, all of Cleveland, and Michelle and Brandon Voyles of Ringgold, Ga.; great-grandchildren: Chandler Jenkins, Brenna Voyles and Brogan Voyles; sister, Judy Epperson of Chattanooga; brother, Billy Ensley of Elyria, Ohio; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert Conley officiating.
Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
