Gertrude Morgan, 85, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday night, Sept. 19, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Cleveland on July 28th, 1929 a daughter of the late Lem and Ellie Cartwright. She was of the Baptist faith and a loved member of the Temple Baptist Church. She worked for many years and retired from Bradley Health Care and Rehabilitation where she worked in the dietary department.
In addition to her parents, she joins her late daughter Patsy Walker in their final resting place.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Ralph Ledford, three sons: Leonard Morgan and his wife Francine, Noah Morgan and Ranzlow Morgan and his wife Brandi, eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and many numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for today, Sept. 22, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Temple Baptist Church located at 3070 Harrison Pike in Cleveland with the Rev. Paul Fox officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on this afternoon from 4 until theservice time.
Interment will take place on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in the Sunset Memorial Garden. The funeral procession will leave Temple Baptist Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m
