Paul Edward Ledwell, 77, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.
He was born in Henegar, Ala. and lived in the Chattanooga area most of his life.
He was an avid ball fan particularly the Chicago Red Soxs and the Atlanta Braves. He had an amazing mind for facts and details. He enjoyed games, the paper and puzzles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cylde M. and Ellen V. Ledwell; nephew, Trey Holland and his first wife, Barbara Ledwell.
He leaves behind and is survived by children: Paula Harris, Joe Ledwell, Donna Wilkey, Dewayne Ledwell, Patti Marsh, Connie Morgan, Melissa Ledwell and Marty Ledwell; sisters: Shirley Yeager, Peggy Meadows, Gaynell Elrod, Judy Carney; brother, Ted Ledwell; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and extended family members and friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. at The Original Church of God, 2214 E. 17th Street in Chattanooga, with the Rev. Carl Wilkey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from noon until the 2 p.m. service time.
The interment will follow in the Chattanooga Memorial Park with Joey Ledwell Roger Walston, Aaron Ledwell, Isaac Harris, Marvin Marsh and Bill Wilkey serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with full military honors.
