John Howard Cunnyngham, 62, of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013.
He was born on March 2, 1951, to the late Wiley and Freida Cunnyngham.
He was a resident of Cleveland for the past 27 years.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a two-year mission in Texas.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 40 years, Paula Cunnyngham; two children; Chris Cunnyngham (Cindy), and Amanda Bundy; two brothers; Gregg Cunnyngham (Carol) and Scott Cunnyngham (Michelle); six grandchildren: Garrett Cunnyngham, McKenzie Brown, Kendall Cunnyngham, Kylie Cunnyngham, Keria Bundy and Morgan Bundy; and several other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends in the parlor of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, 2415 Georgetown Road N.W., tonight from 6 to 8.
A funeral will be held at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4200 Pryor Road N.E., on Saturday, July 28, 2013, at 4 p.m.
Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens immediately following the service.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105, or the mission fund at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4200 Pryor Road N.E., Cleveland TN 37312.
