According to a report filed by Cpl. Daniel Marlow of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Gina Jacobson said someone took a large generator from the area.
The generator was apparently mounted on wheels and the tires were flat.
According to Jacobson’s statement, it would have taken at least two people to lift the piece of equipment.
The generator was valued at $1,600.
- Building materials were reportedly taken from a resident on Old Leadmine Valley Road.
According to a report filed by Deputy Melanie Johnson, Wallace Varnell said someone damaged a chain to gain entry to his property.
Once on the property, thieves took 40 pieces of 2-by-4 lumber and 20 pieces of sheeting material.
The missing materials were valued at $360.
- Deputy Brandon Warren responded to a Ladd Springs Road address where a victim reported someone had damaged her home.
Michelle Howard told the deputy she noticed several windows in her house had been shot with what appeared to be pellets from a pellet gun.
A windshield on her vehicle was also damaged.
No estimate was listed in the report regarding damage costs.
- A Lewis Lane resident reported the loss of a number of items due to a burglary to his outbuilding.
Garold Lewis said someone entered his building and took an electric grinder motor, an antique market scale, a drill press, fencing materials, a hay fork, a Kenmore trash compactor and miscellaneous parts of a Yamaha ATV.
Lewis estimated his loss at $1,100.
Investigation is continuing, according to a report filed by deputy Kevin Chastain.
