Lee University Chorale’s fall concert will be held on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lee Chapel. Dean of Lee’s School of Music Dr. William R. Green will conduct Chorale in a dynamic program titled, “Psalms, Hymns … & Spirituals,” highlighting the music of the church. The program will include Psalm settings from Felix Mendelssohn and Theodore Morrison, a set of Estonian Psalm settings by Cyrillus Kreek, as well as Haydn’s “Missa Brevis in F for Choir, Soprano Soloists and Chamber Orchestra.” Hymn settings will feature music by Zebulon Highben, Mark Hayes, and Lee music professor Jonathan Rodgers, who will accompany Chorale. The program will conclude with spirituals by American composers Allen Keopke, Paul Caldwell, and Sean Ivory. The concert is free and open to the public, but due to limited seating, tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Dixon Center Box Office from 3-6 p.m. daily, beginning Oct. 7, and may also be reserved by calling 614-8343.
