Harold Steven Rutledge, 58, a longtime resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, in a local health care facility.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 1, 1955, a son of the late Thomas Eldridge Rutledge.

He moved to Tennessee with his family as a young child. He graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1974. He worked as a roofer for many years for Bingham and Guy Roofing Company. He was also known for being an avid politician.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Nelda Lucille Hitchcock Rutledge; one sister, Pam Seals; and one brother, Doyle Rutledge, all of Cleveland; and several other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A memorial celebration will be held, Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at noon (CST) at the High’s Funeral Home in McMinnville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Campaign Cemetery in McMinnville.
