Marion McCandless Kevorkian, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at her home. She was born in San Francisco, Calif.
Previous to her illness, she taught preschool and served her community and her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in various capacities.
She was preceded in death by grandma Marion McCandless Ghirardelli of San Francisco, Calif., grandpa James Crystal McCandless Sr. of Oakland, Calif., grandpa Louis Legler Ghirardelli of San Francisco, Calif., mother Carol Droste McCandless of Reno, Nev., father James Crystal McCandless of Incline Village, Nev., grandma Florence Smilie, grandpa Harry Droste, aunt Patricia Droste Walker of Orinda, Calif., aunt Janice Droste Powel and uncle Webster Powel.
She is survived by a daughter, Tracy Price (Jonathan) of Cleveland; two stepsons: Tim Kavorkian (Leona) of Cleveland, Butch (Dori) Kavorkian of Colorado, Joan Johnson, sister, Pittsburg Calif., son-in-law Daniel Johnson, of Pittsburg, Calif., niece, Kristy and Daniel McCracken of Concord, Calif. and Cheryl Johnson of Concord, Calif., grandnephews: Isaiah McCracken, Angelo Johnson, Isaac McCracken, Maxwell McCracken, all of Concord, Calif., and Cody Price of Cleveland, grandson Christopher Price, and granddaughter Athena Ogden, grandpa Harry Droste, aunt Patricia Droste Walker of Orinda, Calif., aunt Janice Droste Powel and uncle Webster Powel.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4200 Pryor Rd. in Cleveland.
