Tennessee’s newly chosen Home Builder’s Association Builder of the Year Dennis Epperson just completed another home.

This time, the home is not inside one of his own developments, but in a more rural setting.

Located at 4857 Bates Pike, owners Corey and Jessie Lovelace, along with their son Raiden, will share the Craftsman ranch-styled home situated on the rolling ridge, which offers up beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

Stacked stone, architectural vinyl and wood keep with the natural theme of the area.

This featured Home of the Week was constructed with full Superior walls, custom poured. A garage stall was supplied in the basement area of this home.

Epperson also made extra room for a future family room or a perfect “man cave.”

Plenty of storage was also provided.

Driving up through the wooded lot, it opens to a clearing on top of the hill where this brand-new home is located. The front porch with its stone columns overlooks the front view of the land. The concrete sidewalk takes you up on the wooden front porch.

Upon entering the home, the floor plan is open, and a spacious family room is inviting. Hardwood flooring and a view of the stone fireplace which graces the breakfast nook make for a cozy feel. A cathedral ceiling makes the room open and great for entertaining. The kitchen has custom Craftsman-style cabinets finished with a medium tone. The stone back splash over the dark kitchen counters matches the home’s rustic appeal.

Stainless steel appliances were installed.

A kitchen island overlooks the entire room and can be used for many family gatherings and a center point for one of the most important areas in the home.

The Lovelace family chose a blue wall color to complement her decorating style. At the rear of the home, a wooden deck will allow the family peaceful recreation while they enjoy the landscape surrounding their new home. The mountains can be seen from any window on the back of the home.

The home is approximately 1,620 square feet on the main level, with a finished bonus room comprising an additional 280 square feet of finished space.

The bonus room can be a playroom or can be considered a fourth bedroom, since it has a large closet as well.

The main level has the two-car garage so the homeowner has easier entry.

The master bath has a jetted garden tub, double vanity, and private water closet. The master bedroom has two closets for clothing and storage.

A trey ceiling with ceiling fan makes this room feel open and spacious. The laundry room was also constructed on the main level of this home.

The other two bedrooms are on the opposite side of the home. A full guest bath separates the two bedrooms.

A nursery was also provided.

Epperson always builds an energy-efficient home and is known as one of Bradley County’s first “Green” builders. The home was supplied with cellulose insulation in the walls, low-e windows, and energy efficient heat and air, among other energy-saving features.
