Kiwanis Club of Cleveland will be celebrating Key Club International Week through Friday.

The week is dedicated to the ideals of service and leadership that Key Club International exemplifies at Cleveland High School and Walker Valley High School within the community.

The Key Clubs of Cleveland High School and Walker Valley High School planned the following events:

n Tuesday – CHS Key Club with United Way’s Volunteer Center presented Miss Tennessee, Shelby Thompson at 8 a.m. CHS Key Club President Abby Gobble spoke about volunteering with the Key Club.

WVHS Key Club along with United Way’s Volunteer Center presented Miss Tennessee, Shelby Thompson at 10:15 a.m. WVHS Key Club president, Blake Kitterman spoke about volunteering with Key Club.

n Thursday – Members of the CHS Key Club attended the Kiwanis Club of Cleveland’s weekly meeting along with Principal Autumn O’Bryan and Jeff Elliott.

n Saturday – Members of the CHS Key Club and WVHS Key Club helped at the United Way of Bradley County’s Imagination Library Graduation Party at the Family Support Center at Blythe Avenue.

n Nov. 14 – Members of the WVHS Key Club will attend the Kiwanis Club of Cleveland’s weekly meeting along with Principal Danny Coggin.

n During the months of October and November, the CHS Key Club will be raising money for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, which goes to support the Eliminate Project to help save moms and babies.

Key Club International is the world’s largest high school service organization, with more than 250,000 student members in more than 5,000 clubs.

A Service Leadership Program of Kiwanis International, Key Club prides itself on its unequaled commitment to community service.

Students and members of the community are invited to join in the spirit of service by participating with the Key Club of Cleveland High School and Walker Valley High School during the United Way of Bradley County’s Imagination Library Graduation Party Saturday.

The Key Clubs of Cleveland High School and Walker Valley High School are sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Cleveland.
