From Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, Kangaroo Express will rally store guests to make donations in support of the Kash for Kids fundraiser, encouraging the local community to help young people learn the importance of staying in school and develop the competitive skills and confidence needed to succeed in the 21st-century global marketplace.
Junior Achievement USA is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people to own their economic success. The volunteer-driven programs inspire work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills and impact 4 million U.S. students in more than 176,000 classrooms.
“As a community store, Kangaroo Express is dedicated to supporting its local communities through truly dedicated organizations like Junior Achievement,” said Chris Hughes, regional director of Kangaroo Express. “The funds raised through Kash for Kids will continue to provide students right here in the Chattanooga, Cleveland, Nashville, Huntsville and North Georgia areas the opportunity to benefit from real life, hands-on experience and encourage them to dream big and reach their fullest potential.”
Donations raised in Hamilton, Catoosa, Walker, Marion, Rhea and Sequatchie counties will directly benefit Junior Achievement of Chattanooga. Donations raised in Rutherford, Williamson, Sumner, Wilson, Coffee and Davidson counties will directly benefit Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee. Donations raised in Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Polk and Monroe counties will directly benefit Junior Achievement of the Ocoee Region. Donations raised in Madison, Marshall, Dekalb, Morgan, Jackson and Lauderdale counties will directly benefit Junior Achievement of North Alabama.
“With the steadfast support of Kangaroo Express, Junior Achievement offices throughout the region will be able to provide our kindergarten through 12th grade students with the opportunity to prepare for their future,” said Renee Penney, special events director of Junior Achievement of Chattanooga. “We are elated for the impact to be experienced by a greater number of students in our local schools as a result of this ongoing partnership.”
