Jerry Junior Cross, 56, of Ripley, W.Va., passed away suddenly Nov. 15, 2013, at CAMC, General Division.
He was born Aug. 10, 1957, in Cleveland, a son of the late Joe Junior and Nellie Sue (Allman) Cross.
He was the owner and operator of Cross Shoe Repair in Charleston, W.Va. He enjoyed farming, motorcycles, wrestling and football, and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Artie Ruth (Walters) Cross; son, Justin Dirk Butler of Ripley, W.Va.; grandson, Gavyn Chase McCauley; brothers: Rick Cross, Joel Cross and Mitchell Cross, all of Cleveland; sisters, Robin (Sam) Powers and Pam Cross, all of Cleveland; stepmother, Margie Cross; and three special aunts: Hazel (Terrell) Peters, Edith Cross and Linda (Rick) Cottreal, all of Cleveland.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel in Evans, W.Va., with John Gunther and Charles Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Ripley, W.Va.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
