Candace Renee Leslie, 33, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away early Sunday morning, Nov. 17, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. on Feb. 8, 1980. She was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1998 and then went on to graduate from Cleveland State Community College in 2000. Above all she will be remembered for being a loving and devoted mother to her son, Koleman, who she affectionately call “Scoot Bug.”
She was preceded in death by grandparents DeVaughn and Sara Lou Coffey.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, who was the light of her life, Koleman Leslie; mother and father, Debbie and Lynn Coffey; brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Mandy Leslie; sister, Alivia Coffey; grandparents, Curtis and Brenda Crisp; niece, Gracie Leslie; nephew, Cooper Leslie; numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for tonight, Nov. 19, 2013, at 7 p.m., at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church, 2412 Georgetown Road, with the Rev. Collin Cooke officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 5 to the 7 p.m. service time.
