Shannon Lee Long, 52, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday morning, Nov. 23, 2013, in a local hospital.
She was born on Dec. 31, 1960, in Phoenix, Ariz. She was of the Christian faith.
She has made Cleveland her home for the past 13 years. Also for the past 13 years, Shannon has been employed with the Captain D’s restaurant on 25th Street, where she was currently a manager. She had a passion for serving others and took great pleasure in helping and giving back to those around her. She was also an avid animal lover.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother and father, Nancy L. and Calvin L. Holland; two sisters: Stacey Emigh and Debbie Rogers; one brother, Donald Emigh; two nieces: Traci Semones (John David) and Alissa Wilson; two nephews: Manuel Gomez (Jessica) and Cameron Emigh; two great-nephews: Weston and Aldon Semones; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for today, Nov. 26, 2013, at 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 433 North Ocoee Street with Dr. Joseph R. Tanner officiating.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall from 3 until the 4 p.m. service time.
