Dr. Donald E. Robinson has been chosen by the Cleveland-Athens Cotillion board to serve as Master of Ceremonies for the 51st annual Cleveland-Athens Cotillion Holly Ball to be held Dec. 28 at the Cleveland Country Club.

Robinson is a graduate of McMinn County High School and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee. He graduated from University of Tennessee, Memphis, from the College of Medicine and Surgery. He has practiced as an internist at Robinson-Anderson Internal Medicine in Cleveland since 1977.

Robinson is widely known in the community for his 36 years of service with the Boy Scouts of America, but is also involved with a variety of community activities and organizations. He is a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, where he previously served as the administrative board chairman. He has been a part of the Rotary club since 1977 and has served in many different capacities.

He has received many awards — both professional and personal — in direct relation to his outstanding community service attitude.

Robinson is the son of Juanita Robinson of Athens and the late Fred Robinson. He is married to Cotillion member Dawn Rumbolt Robinson and has four children, Amanda, J.B., Christopher and Colby. He enjoys spending time with his seven grandchildren: Gabe, Asher, Lucy, Thomas, Molly, Aubrey and Hazel.

In his leisure time he has many hobbies, including backpacking, camping, amateur radio, fishing, scuba diving, snow skiing and computers.
