Thomas Jackson Beck, 63, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Friday night, Nov. 29, 2013 ,surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1949, a son of the late Georgia Beck Green. He graduated from Bradley Central High School and worked until his retirement as a photographer and in the photo finishing industry. He was a member of the Waterville Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, camping and watching various sporting events, but the thing most important to him was spending time with his family. He will be forever remembered for being a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Claude J. and Bessie Beck; and one brother, Dennis Green.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter, Melinda Gail Beck; two sons: Thomas Bradford Beck and his wife, Krista, and Aaron Foster Beck and his wife, Courtney; five grandchildren; and three brothers: Johnny Green, Ronnie Beck and Jerry (Betty) Beck. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for tonight, Dec. 2, 2013, at 7 at the Waterville Baptist Church located at 3722 Dalton Pike in Cleveland with Pastor Allan Lovelace officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on tonight from 5 until the 7 service time.
A graveside service and interment will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at noon in the Spring Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lamontville.
