The Polk County Retired Teachers Association meets today at Benton First Baptist Church for the annual auction and Christmas luncheon. According to President Bob Bryant, all proceeds from the auction go toward the PCRTA Scholarship fund. Two scholarships, each in the amount of $1,500, are awarded to a senior at Polk County and Copper Basin high schools who plan to enter the field of education. The 2013 recipient from PCHS was Erika Hernandez, and Tyler Queen and Emily Nicholson shared the CBHS award.
