Melissa Denise Seay, 44 of Braselton, Ga., passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, following an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Nedith Beck; grandfather, James Pugh and aunt, Pamela Westfield.

She was born in Cleveland. She attended Cleveland High School and also attended Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, where she received her bachelor’s of science degree in accounting.

Throughout her matriculation through life, she met the love of her life, Quinn Seay, in Tennessee. After getting married, they later relocated to Gainesville, Ga. Upon relocating, she accepted a career at Northeast Georgia Primary Care where she was a dedicated employee for 20 years.

She attended St. John and Chicopee Baptist Church and was under the watch of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at the time of her passing. She was very involved in her community as well. She worked in and with her neighborhood and always was lending a helping hand to those in need. She was the accountant for the family foundation, Youth Unite Inc. This courageous woman will be missed throughout the Gainesville and Tennessee Communities.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Quinn Seay; two sons, Jonathan and Marc Seay of Gainesville; parents, Emily (Larry) Fields of Cleveland, Earl (Catherine) Westfield of Philadelphia, Pa.; one sister, Mary Westfield of Cleveland; grandparents: Earl (Johnye Belle) Westfield of Philadelphia; two aunts: Joan (David) Steward of Cleveland and Jean Coverton of Summerville, Ga.; four uncles: Keith (Harritte) Beck of Tulsa, Okla., Eric Beck, Derrick Pugh and Wesley King, all of Cleveland, Michael (Evelyn) Westfield of Philadelphia; father and mother in-law, John (Peggy) Seay of Riddleton; two brother-in-laws: Terry (Sanetra) Seay of Carthage and Quince Seay of Riddleton; a very special aunt, Deborah Jones of Cleveland; a very special cousin, Ava McCall of Philadelphia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at 1 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 757 E.E. Butler Parkway, Gainesville, with the Rev. Stephen Samuels, pastor, and the Rev. Christopher A. Wimberly Sr. serving as eulogists.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Chicopee Baptist Church, 13 First St., Gainesville, Ga., from 6 to 8 p.m. Celebration will continue on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 799 Inman St. E, Cleveland TN 37311.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m.

The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. with eulogist, the Rev. Edward Robinson, church pastor.

Internment will be in Fort Hill Cemetery.
