Patricia Gayle Long, 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, in a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lois Hartness. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Daphene “Lynne” Earwood; and a sister, Hazel Barker.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Roscoe Long; her sons: James Towers and his wife, Melissa, and Jeff Towers and Joseph Long; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers: Frankie Hartness, Dewayne Hartness, Billy Hartness and Aaron Hartness, all from Cleveland, and Simon Hartness from Etowah; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Judson Kirkpatrick officiating.
Interment will follow in the Liberty cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.
