Jeanette Goode-Taylor, 59, of Cleveland, passed at her residence Wednesday evening, Dec. 18, 2013.

She was retired from Honeywell after 27 years.

She was a member of Greens Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America in Charleston, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was an avid softball enthusiast, and enjoyed cooking and loving her family.

She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Estella Goode. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Nadine Goode, Beverly Goode and Linda Goode; and two brothers: Claborne and Michael Goode.

Survivors include two brothers: Walter (Sue) Goode of Charleston and Jimmy (Rachel) Goode of Cleveland; sister, Joanne Goode; one godson, Alonzo Goode; and special nieces: Anitra Goode and Jaylyn Goode, all of Cleveland, and many other nieces and nephews; two uncles: Buford (Earnestine) Jackson of Athens and Darwin Goode of California; one aunt, Willie Mae (George) Brown of Clarksville; special friends: Mary Carter of Charleston and Linda Melton of Cleveland; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Green’s Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America in Charleston, with the Rev. Dr. Harry Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Charleston Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 2 to 3 p.m.
