Linda Jane Hicks Flint, 66, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, in a Chattanooga hospital.

She was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker, retiree of Charleston Hosiery, and ran and co-owned Marvin and Linda’s Oyster Bar.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lincoln Hicks of Cleveland; and one brother, Terry Dexter Hicks of Fort Myers, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Marvin Flint of Cleveland; mother, Margaret Leona Camper Hicks; three children: Tammy Janelle Flint, Charles Marvin Flint Jr. and Melinda Ann Flint, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Christopher Ryan Flint, Brandon Lee Ellis, Jacob Alexander Miller, Tanner Peyton Ellis and Tori Nicole Thompson, all of Cleveland; two great-grandchildren: Zachery Ryan and Elizabeth Flint of Cleveland; two brothers: Danny Hicks and wife, Judy and Ronald Lee (Corky) Hicks and wife, Nita, all of Fort Myers; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Evans officiating.

Interment will follow at Delano Cemetery with Raymond Flint, Rodney Flint, Lamar Flint, Jim Flint, Billy Flint and Brandon Ellis serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
