Ruby May Maples, 93, a resident of Warner Robins, Ga., but lived in Cleveland, most of her life, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at the Peach Belt Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Tallent; and her second husband, Clifton Maples.

She is survived by three sisters: Myrtle Moore, Betty Jo Wilson, Wilma Cunningham; and one brother, Leonard McGuire, all of Cleveland; two sons: Harold (Judy) Tallent of Fort Valley, Ga., and Gene (Anita) Tallent of Warner Robins; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
