Valerie Dianne Ellis, 52, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at an extended care facility in Georgia.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1961, to the late Lonnie and Virginia Betsil.
She was of the Baptist faith and a dedicated member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Above anything else in her life, she was a caring wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished and loved the time with her grandchildren more than anything in the world.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a very special mother-in-law, Kathleen Moss.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of nine years, Robert Ellis; two daughters: Tabitha Bannister and Tiffany Simpson; three sons: Julian Moss, A.J. Murray and Josh Ellis; and eight grandchildren: Emily Bannister, Nathan Bannister, Alex Bannister, Richard Simpson, Jasmine Simpson, Zach Murray, Claire Murray and Kylie Moss.
A funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on today, Jan. 9, 2014, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, located at 910 30th St. S.E. in Cleveland.
The family will receive friends today, from 5 until the time of the service. The Revs. Tyler Gentry, Ray Higgins and Jason Barnes will be officiating the service.
