Carson-Newman announces dean’s list from Fall 2013

JEFFERSON CITY — Carson-Newman University recently announced its Fall 2013 dean's list honorees, and three area students were among them.

Kristen Pickett and Katherine Plate, both of Cleveland, and Kelsey Meadows of Decatur all did well enough in their studies to make the list.

Students earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while taking 12 or more credit hours are awarded the distinction of dean's list honors.

Carson-Newman University is a private, Christian liberal arts institution. Founded in 1851, the university is located in Jefferson City, among the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

The university has 2,045 students and offers 50 undergraduate majors, as well as bachelor's, master’s and doctorate degrees. For more information, visit
