J. Adam Lowe will soon add “short-story author” to his list of accomplishments.

Lowe’s personal story will be featured in an upcoming book, “The New Fatherhood Culture: Real Stories of Dads Behaving Dadly,” by authors Hogan Hilling and Al Watts.

The book, to be published by Motivational Press, highlights stories of fatherhood from fathers from across the country including some national businesspeople, Hollywood actors and professional athletes.

“I was very excited to see that the authors wanted to include our family story,” said Lowe. “I hope the story inspires other fathers in some way.”

Lowe’s story titled “No Laughing Matter” emphasizes the importance of serving others who are less fortunate in life. It describes an incident where Lowe’s oldest son became concerned about poverty.

Like others in the book, the story outlines the emotions and reactions of the Lowe family and how Lowe himself addressed the difficult topic.

“What I know after having three children is that their questions deserve answers, no matter how difficult or uncomfortable the topic” said Lowe.

“In our home, we believe it is our charge to help others and I want my children to understand that. Now, thanks to this publication, we can hopefully share our story with thousands of other parents.”

The project has been supported and endorsed by several national groups including the National At-Home Dad Network and The Fatherhood Project. There is presently no announced date for the book to be released; however, the publisher has noted they plan to debut the book in conjunction with Father’s Day.
