Mark Kevin Myers, 53, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday afternoon, Jan. 10, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was born in Blue Island, Ill., on Nov. 23, 1960, a son of the late Irene Hudgins Myers. He and his family have made Cleveland their home since 1972. He was a 1978 graduate of Bradley Central High School. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Bethel Baptist Tabernacle. He had worked at the Bendix Corporation and was employed with Walters Car Wash at the time of his passing. He was an avid Nascar Fan.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, J.D. Myers and his partner, Joyce Baker; one brother, Ernie Myers and his wife, Stacy; and special friends: Ronnie and Sandy Haney and Amy Chadwick. He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of friends.
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday night, Jan. 14, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Tabernacle located at 3165 Buchanan Road S.E., Cleveland, with the Rev. John Bivens officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday evening from 6 until the service time.
