According to reports from the Cleveland Police Department, the TBI and U.S. Marshal’s Service took Todd Steven Osterman, 40, into custody Monday near Stuart Road.
Osterman had been eluding capture for several months, according to Detectives Bill Parks and Matt Jenkins.
Jenkins said early in the investigation that Osterman lived in motels around the area.
Warrants had been issued for his arrest in connection with several auto burglaries and theft.
Osterman is being housed at the Bradley County Jail on the warrants.
- Bradley County Sheriff’s Office also arrested a man who had outstanding warrants for violating the Sexual Offender Registry.
John Edgar Justice, 57, was arrested last week.
Cleveland Police Department officials issued a warrant for his arrest in September after he failed to maintain the registry process.
Justice was convicted of “Criminal Attempt to Commit Rape,” in February 1978, according to TBI’s Sexual Offender Registry information. He is also being held at the Bradley County Jail.
- A house on Stinnett Road was apparently broken into, but at the time of the initial offense report filed with Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, it was unclear if anything had been taken.
According to a report filed by deputy Cru Ross, Amy Stinnett said someone had broken a window to gain entry into the house.
Stinnett said the house was a rental and it was under the ownership of a local bank.
Investigation is continuing.
- A Dodge Ram pickup truck suffered damage from vandalism.
According to Ross, Jedidiah Kidwell said someone broke the rear glass out of the truck as well as damaged the tailgate.
Investigation revealed a rock was possibly used to damage the vehicle.
Damage was estimated at $300.
