Tennessee Christian Preparatory School president Dr. Bill Balzano announced that Audri Wood, currently the Upper School principal, has agreed to accept the challenge of serving as the coordinator of Academic Program Development for the 2014-15 school year.

Wood will complete the current school year as principal while a search is conducted for her replacement.

According to Balzano, “Mrs. Wood is well acquainted with all levels of academic instruction. She has taught at the college level as well as the secondary level. Her ability to assist in raising the quality of our academic program to the next level is the driving force behind her appointment to this position.”

The decision came after Balzano and Wood discussed the transition over several months.

The discussion began after Wood indicated that she and her family felt she was ready for a change from the role of upper school principal.

“It was perfect timing for my plans for filling the position of coordinator of Academic Program Development,” stated Balzano.

The new Upper School principal will begin serving with the 2014-15 school year.
