Joseph Lamonte DeBusk, 74, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at his residence.
He was of the Church of God faith and served in the United States Army. He was a carpenter, and was retired from Lee University after 16 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edgar DeBusk and Evelyn Wells Jones; and sister, Doris Daniels.
He is survived by his wife, Patty DeBusk of Cleveland; children: Cindy Morris and husband, Ed, of Ooltewah and Joseph DeBusk Jr. and Erin of Ruskin, Fla.; grandchildren: Heather Morris, Devin Morris, Holly Morris, Kristina Armstrong, Corey DeBusk, Kari Kelber, Gabriel Kelber, Braelyn DeBusk and Ashlyn DeBusk; three sisters: Eileen Capps of Crystal River, Fla., Gail Bradley of Ocala, Fla., and Wanda Jones of Chiefland, Fla.; and two brothers: Wayne DeBusk of Eustis, Fla., and Mike Sasser of Sopchoppy, Fla.
The funeral will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Casto officiating.
Interment will be held at 2 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
