Peggy Sue Robinson, 68, a resident of Ooltewah, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1945, to the late Lincoln and Hilda Funke.
She had been a resident of Ooltewah for the past 10 years after moving here from Reno, Nev.
She was a homemaker who loved to do many things such as reading romance novels, cooking, sewing, drawing and flowers. Above all of these things in her life, she was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by those around her.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Funke, and one brother, Larry Funke.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 23 years, David Eugene Robinson; two daughters: Maria Chorba and Barbara Thornton (Robert); two sons: Joseph Gregg and Vince Gregg (Rizzo); one sister, Suzie Anderson; one brother, Terry Funke; 11 grandchildren: Michael Ashby, Cody Gregg, Zackery Waldron, Ashley Williams, Joseph Gregg, Chandler Thornton, Joseph Chorba, Ashley Chorba, Meagan Chorba, Briannia Chorba and Angelina Chorba; eight great-grandchildren: Dustin Johnson, Landon Williams, Hayden Ashby, Marlee Waldron, Rilley Gregg, Kaeson Williams, Brayden Gregg and Branson Williams; several extended family members and friends; and one favorite dog, “Pinkie.”
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Memorial Baptist Tabernacle at noon with a reception preceding. The church is located at 905 Hogan Road, Rossville, Ga, 30741. Pastor Sam Riggs will be officiating the service.
