Linda “Sue” Richmond Lawson, 71, of Etowah and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 21, 2014, at a local health care facility.

A native of Cleveland, she spent most of her life in Bradley County before moving to Etowah in 2009.

She retired as a nurse at Bradley Hospital (now SkyRidge Medical Center) after 30 years of service. Being a nurse was her calling and she enjoyed helping others as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Millard and Jessie Avis Dunn Richmond; daughter, Vonda Kaye Lawson; and brother, Jack Richmond.

She is survived by sons: Buck Lawson of Cleveland and David Lawson and wife, Martha, of Delano; and grandchildren: Cody Wilson and Ally Lawson, both of Cleveland, and Michael and Matthew Lawson, both of Delano.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
