Some of the St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church members gathered for a bilingual service to recognize the Respect Life campaign on Jan. 19, on the church grounds. The parishioners prayed a Rosary for Life alongside 41 crosses, placed to represent the number of years that have passed since Roe v. Wade was enacted in 1973, and the 1.2 million babies aborted in each of those 41 years. In past years, parishioners placed 150 crosses – to represent the number of babies aborted per hour in the U.S.
