The IRS, Cleveland Community Center and K-Mart are again are again partnering to give taxpayers free tax help during the 2014 tax season.

Certified IRS volunteers will be available at K-Mart on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning Feb. 1. The volunteers will be at the South Cleveland Community Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Taxpayers should bring all forms of income, such as W2, 1099-misc, 1099-R, as well as Social Security cards for themselves and all dependents, and drivers license or picture ID’s for taxpayers.

ID will be required before volunteers can prepare tax returns. If possible, please bring a copy of last year’s return.

IRS volunteers cannot prepare complicated returns or business returns. Self employment is acceptable if business expenses are no more than $10,000, with no carryover losses or inventory.

The VITA Program is also available at Lee University and Bradley Baptist Association. Taxpayers may call those locations for days and hours of volunteers.

Should anyone have questions about the program, feel free to call Rachael Pickett at 476-8866.
