David Saxon McDougal, 35, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday morning, Jan. 26, 2014, after a lengthy illness surrounded by his family.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1978, a son of Billy and Ramona McDougal.

He was employed most of his life as a stone mason. He loved music, drawing and designing. He also loved life and spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother and father, Ramona and Billy McDougal; one brother and his wife, Jason, and Carrie McDougal; nephews: Drake and Dillon McDougal; several aunts, uncles and cousins; several other extended family members; and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at 5 p.m. at Freedom Worship Church, corner of Buchanan Road and Buchanan Circle in Cleveland, with the Rev. Will Dixson Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the 5 p.m. service time.
