The event, sponsored by Lee’s Residen-tial Life and Housing, along with the Diver-sity Council and Student Leadership Council, will take place on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Dixon Center.
Stephon Ferguson, a motivational speaker who presents the speeches of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will perform King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Following the performance, Ferguson, along with members of Lee faculty, will share his thoughts concerning racial equality and encourage audience engagement.
“We hope that this evening will provide a meaningful experience and engaging conversation about King’s legacy and his philosophy of peace and unity,” said Tracey Carlson, director of Residential Life and Housing. “We look forward to celebrating Black History Month with Lee students and the Cleveland community.”
Ferguson hails from Atlanta, Ga., and travels throughout the nation delivering the powerful words of King in an "uncanny" and "pitch perfect" performance. Ferguson is proud to reinvigorate King's dream by not only delivering his words but by educating people about his life, his philosophy and teachings.
Admission is free and open to the general public. Refreshments will be served.
